Conference Venue: ELITE CITY RESORT KALAMATA

PREXVI will publish online

  • a Conference e-proceedings booklet containing all full-length peer-reviewed papers presented in the conference and

  • a Book of Abstracts containing only the abstracts of all the presented papers.

Papers that will be included in the Conference e-proceedings (see following instructions) will be eligible for publication (after review) in one of the special issues of selected international scientific journals.

Authors that wish their work to be included only in the Book of Abstracts should upload their files - (title, authors, affiliation, abstract and keywords) following the same format of the Sample Documents (doc or LaTeX files - see following instructions).

Instructions for Authors

Instructions for poster submissions

Each poster should be prepared in portrait orientation (vertical poster). The maximum dimensions are: 84cm(w) x 119cm(h). You might want to use the standard A0 vertical poster format.

The poster should contain the title of the corresponding paper, the authors, institution, and the institution’s location.

The aims of the study, the question to be asked or the hypothesis to be tested should be clearly and succinctly stated (in as few words as possible).

Briefly outline your methods. Provide details only for new methods or important modifications of older ones.

The conclusions should be succinctly stated in large type. Many attendees read this first, hence it should be easy to understand.

If you wish to include your work in the Conference Proceedings (and not only in the Book of Abstracts), please submit additionally a paper following the instruction given in section “Instructions for paper submissions”.

Instructions for paper submissions

If you wish to include your work in the Conference Proceedings a paper from 4 up to 10 pages is required. The paper should follow format of the Sample Document (doc) or LaTeX (zip file with the template and instructions).

Manuscripts (oral or poster presentations) must be written in clear and grammatical English and should be submitted through the registering form.

All accepted papers will be included in the Conference e-proceedings, which will be distributed at the Conference. Moreover, they will be published online at the Conference Series site.

In case you experience any problems please feel free to contact the conference secretariat at prexvi@upatras.gr.

The name of the authors should be written with the surname in full, preceded by the initial(s) of the first name(s) (e.g. J. Gordon). The name of the authors should be followed by their affiliations: organization and full address, centered, point 12 characters. Specify by asterisk the corresponding author. Leave one 1.15-line space and write the e-mail, phone or fax of the corresponding author only, centered, point 12 characters.

Headings

Leave one 1.15-line space from the keywords and start writing the main text of the article. Headings should be set aligned left, and consecutively numbered (e.g. 1. INTRODUCTION, 2. MATERIALS AND METHODS, etc., 5. CONCLUSIONS). ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS and REFERENCES follow after CONCLUSIONS and are written without numbering. The main headings should be separated by one 1.15-line space from the text above and below, in bold capital letters. The secondary headings should be separated by one 1.15-line space from the text above and below, in bold characters and consecutively numbered (e.g. 1.1 Literature review, 1.2 The present situation, etc.). Only the first word should start with a capital and the rest in lower case letters, in bold characters.

Tables

Tables should be included in the main text, preferably after they are cited and as close as possible to their first citation and should be consecutively numbered by Arabic numerals. Figures should be numbered in the order that they are first cited in the text and they should be placed as close as possible to their first citation. Figure should be referred in the text by Figure 1, Figure 2 and so on.

Equations

Equations should be written in a separate line, left justified and consecutively numbered by Arabic numerals. Place the number of equations in parentheses at the right page margin and refer to them by Equation 1, Equation 2 and so on in the text.

Units-Chemical Formulas-Numbers

Please ensure that the following system is used for all scientific and laboratory data: kg for kilogram, L for liters and g for grams. Chemical formulas should also be correct e.g. CO2 (not CO2). Decimal numbers must have a dot "." as a decimal point and not a comma ",". For example, 2.5 (not 2,5). Groups of three digits in numbers greater than 999 should not be separated by a space or comma, e.g 2500 (not 2 500 or 2,500).

References

References to works cited in the article should mention the name of the author and the year of publication. References should be listed at the end of the text in the order that they appear in text, headed by the word "References". Use the format recommended below for journal articles, conference proceedings, books, standard test methods, electronic publications.
